Yes, I do know that pop music tends to suck, with a few exceptions. It just seems to get worse as time goes on. At one point, pop was a genre, and it progressively has infringed on rock, which blows. When do we just start telling all the bands that sound the same that it's played-out and they need to do something creative?

The great bands tend to evolve into something better, while taking nothing away from their original roots. Look at Tool or NIN, for example. Over the past [nearly] twenty years, they have managed to come out with great songs consistently with increased production quality, and everything sounds new. Nothing sounds repackaged. There is just a regurgitated quality to pop-rock now.

Couldn't agree more. I just basically stay away from anything being played on the Radio, really..

Like Edvard said Norwegian Radios are shit.
But today I was moving the lawn so I thought I'd listen to some radio.
And the first song was A-Ha - Take On Me, and well, nobody hates A-Ha.
But then, it was Britney Spears, Nickleback( :x ), and some random Norwegian rappers singing about bikinis.
So yea.. Shit.
And I ended up listening to some random radio show which was only classical music (Mozart and stuff) Which is ok, at least for a metalhead like me. I do like classical music.

But if popular music now a days is Britney Spears, Nickleback and bikinis. Then.. WTF?!
I want em 70's back.

Classical music? That kicks ass.

Whenever I get tired of trying to cope with pop-rock, I usually turn on National Public Radio and listen to the classical stuff. They had a classical guitar set yesterday that was really good. Great guitar is great guitar no matter where you hear it, and the guys they were playing last night freakin owned.

To quote Deicide a little, I blame it on God.

Either that, or Dr.Frankenstein finally found a way to reanimate roadkill and taught them how to play (can you call it playing - what they do?) musical instruments.

Okay,

In my quest to find a program for mp3 tags, I have stumbled across a small program called minilyrics. Has anyone seen this? It starts with your media player and scrolls lyrics to just about any song. Trust me - I tested it. Some more obscure songs you can't get, but I checked it against a 30 year span collection of death metal of all national origins as well as some blues and some other stuff. Nice. Anyone who wants lyrics for songs without having to look them up online and follow along in the browser while the music is playing, it automatically scrolls the lyrics in front of you on your screen and you can keep working on whatever you were doing. I did some of my ENG101 work while learning lyrics to Opeth's Ghost of Perdition album. Not bad for multitasking.

Thumbs up.

Cool!

Thanks for the tip. I guess I could just Google this, but does it support most media players out there?

Absolutely. During the initial setup, it has a couple screens asking you which players you would like it installed for, and there were several, and I believe it had another spot for an "other" if you don't have one that's on the list.
