Google Buzz out too early

buzz-problems Google admits that Google Buzz got released too early. Google told BBC that Buzz did not get enough testing prior to release and was supposedly only tested internally. Google simply decided to drop any kind of public beta testing. A lot of effort is now being put down to fix the problems that have queued up. One of the more serious issues being privacy. All followers (contacts) were automatically added to the user’s list, but Google promises to fix it and make it so that the user has to authorize new followers. Other problems are more security related as there was a bug that made it possible for an attacker to kidnap Buzz accounts. Oh, and Google forgot to add the Buzz tab in the Gmail settings which provides options for customization and control over the service.

Buzz definitely caught me by surprise and I am pretty sure Google would have been better off giving Buzz a bit more polish before release. For all you Buzz users out there, just be a bit careful and let Google patch things up.
